Tanzania Aviation Operators' Association (TAOA)

TAOA is a Private Sector association that aims to foster the legal and responsible development of the Tanzanian aviation industry by ensuring safety, efficiency, regularity and economic operations. It provides a common platform for the promotion of best practices and engages in effective advocacy with the Government through responsible authorities.

The association, formerly known as Tanzania Air Operators' Assocaition was registered in 2002 and represents  members that include the local registered air operators, aircraft refuellers and airport ground handling companies based on the Tanzanian Mainland and Zanzibar. 

TAOA provides a range of services to its members in advocating for conducive business environment through policy formulation and reforms; access to relevant industrial information about travel, tour and tourism; coordinating partnerships and business linkages between members and relevant players in the national economy.

Our Members

TAOA Membership includes owners and operators of aircraft(s), individuals and/or organizations (Commercial or Non-Commercial) involved and/or associated with the aviation industry.

Ordinary Membership

Ordinary Membership is open to commercial entities/companies legally registered in Tanzania and holding Air Operators’ Certificate, Air Service License, Airport Ground Services License or AMO License and Approved Training Organizations (ATO).

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to Non-Commercial organizations such as NGOs, companies and institutions (local and foreign), legally registered in Tanzania, directly supported and/or associated with the Aviation Industry.

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Membership is open to Commercial organizations such as NGOs, companies and institutions (local and foreign) indirectly supporting and/or linked with the Aviation Industry.
